About the book: PREPARATION SERIES

The natural mind has a tendency to take the issue of God’s judgment with levity. But not Jesus; He took it with all seriousness and told His disciples in many parables to prepare for the coming of the Lord. He even gave them SIGNS to watch out for, which will tell them of the nearness of the Coming of the Lord. But as history has proved, the SIGNS are for us, as they are just unfolding. And this, perhaps, may be the generation that will see the coming of the Lord (Rapture) and the following judgments upon mankind. This may sound sacrilegious to some, but when one considers the facts on ground (Prophecies of the End Fulfilling SIGNS OF THE END), that statement may not be too far from being the truth. The book looks some contemporary issues, which may look ordinary but are actually SIGNS OF THE END URGING US TO PREPARE FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD.

(1)      Chapter One:  Intimacy with God

The whole idea behind “Preparation” – Getting ready for the coming of the Lord is knowing the plans of God.  Jesus gave this promise to His disciples in John 15:  and if any proves himself/herself worthy of the title, “disciple” God would open up to such a person.  He did to Abraham. Intimacy with Abraham made God to tell Abraham His intention to destroy Sodon and Gomorrah .

One of the significant scriptures that come to mind when we talk about the coming of the Lord is in Luke 17:26-30 where God mentioned Noah and Lot amidst people living the everyday life.  And here attention is drawn to their intimacy levels with God: Noah was instructed directly by God how to escape the judgement while it took intercession from Abraham before God agreed to exclude Lot from the judgement of Sodom and Gomorrah .

Martha and Mary were then used to bring out how God sees intimacy: Service to the Lord cannot replace knowing the Lord.

Jesus said, Mary who sat with Him had chosen the right path.  Jesus is not just the fountain of life, He’s the fountain of knowledge.  The greatest element bringing destruction at this end of time is the lack of knowledge or the disregard for it. And it comes only from an intimate relationship with God.

Chapter 2

YOUTH SIGNS: we start with a dictionary definition who a Youth is and how the fact that they belong to God should warm the “wasters of God’s heritage” not to abuse children. The different forms of abuse that prevails today are then highlighted.

How does God see children? They are instruments in His hands to bring Him glory so the need to train them right becomes important.  This is discussed against the background of parents encouraging their children to go into prostitution for more family income, lecturers abusing the girl child and politicians turning them to things.

Chapter 3

Youth Sign 2

Mention is made of Youths in the Bible and that Youths today can be like them, but they must know that because they are instruments in the hands of God, the Devil will attack them – to derail them from the God given calling. Herod trying to kill the child Jesus is given as example.

We are then enjoined to train the child to be godly – the instrument in the hands of God.  Failure to do so is the same as the spirit of Herodias who taught her daughter to defile God’s heritage – She was taught to dance to please men for reward. The same spirit is breading teen-age sex slaves all over the world.

Contrasting this is the story of the lad in John 6 who was where Jesus was and was willing to give up the 5 loaves and 2 fishes that fed 5000.

The chapter concludes with the prophecy in Joel 2:28-29 which emphasizes the desire of God to use youths; hence the call for youths to give themselves to the Lord.

Chapter 4

The Youth With A Mission

This chapter lists youths from Williams Booth to Columbus as a challenge to the youths of today. The question raised: If they excelled in their various fields between ages 23 – 30, where are the Youths today not excelling?

Chapter 5

Unfolding Events In Iraq

Middle East in Focus: Iraq , Iran and how the happenings here affects Israel. Using Scriptures from Hosea 5:15 we begin to trace the linkage between Iraq and Israel . There must be a decay in Israel – God relationship which will lead to God’s judgement. The culmination of this judgement will witnessing coming of the Antichrist – the man from Iraq . The importance of Iraq in the Bible is then highlighted as the location of the Garden of Eden.  This was where the earthly battle between God and satan started.  This is where it will end.

Chapter 6

Unfolding Events in Iraq 2

The story develops from part 1 still dwelling on Iraq as the place of rebellion against God; this time Nimrod is highlighted as the rebel.  This spirit – of anti-God is then linked to the Muslims, the enemies of Israel . Next is the importance of oil: the fuel for the crisis in this region and what the removal of Saddam portends for the region. Oil is given as the reason for Armageddon. China has become a major player in the world and has recorded increased need for energy-oil. Russia is also a prophesied combatant at Armageddon. They will come looking for The Dead Sea Resources to meet economic and social needs.  Other Countries that will join them in this epic battle are also traced historically from the Bible. It closes with Iraq in the Holy Bible where we are told that Iraq is the second most mentioned name in the Bible.

Chapter 7

Tracing the Gold:  The Seal Part 1

Anyone who is interested in the stock market will see the interface between oil, gold and the rest of the economy of the world. When the stock market is in trouble, people try to find refuge in gold. So we see, oil, gold and the stock market are indicators of the world economy. This is where the Antichrist mentioned in the last chapter comes to play. He is prophesied as the man who will ultimately control the world’s economy with the mark of the Beat (Seal) as his major instrument of control. The scriptures for this are given and explained. What leads society to this mark? The 9/11 episode and the immediate response of the American government are fore-runners to the issuance of this Anti-christ seal, Mention is then made as we close to show that God would also seal His own children.

 Chapter 8

Tracing the Gold: The seal part 2

In chapter 7 we showed the role of commerce at the end and how it will lead to the mark of the Beast.  This and how the Lord will seal His own formed the latter part of the chapter.  This thought is expatiated upon in this chapter. God’s seal is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The attributes of the Holy Spirit and the need to stay away from the world (by the application of the word of God to one’s life) to maintain the mark of the Holy Spirit are then highlighted.

Chapter Nine

Controversy Part 1

The Arab/Israeli, Christian/Muslim issue is discussed here. How the controversy started with Abraham and Sarah, on to how Isaac and Ishmael fathered children who became the Israelites and Arabs; spiritually, the seeds of Abraham – the Christians and the Muslims.

Chapter 10

Controversy part 2

After tracing the origin of the Israeli/Arab, Christian/Muslim fued we begin to trace down the ages how the seeds of Esan sought to destroy Israel at various times and how God had always given the victory to Israel. The issue had always been the land of Israel but the spirit of Esau cannot disposes the seed of Israel .  This is because the land has been given to Israel via a promise to Abraham.

Chapter 11

Controversy part 3

Here we see why Esau lost his birthright and how Israeli, as long as they lived in obedience to God put the seeds of Esau in subjection. This is transposed to the spiritual where our obedience and subjection of our flesh (appetite) gives us the victory over satan.
